A variety of sizes and types of beef and chicken burger patties are sold on one of El Akeela street’s trucks. Although many of the menu options of “Big Bite” truck take names of famous brands, such as the famous Macdonald’s sandwich “Big Tasty”, they offer a unique taste at affordable prices. Chef Hossam Abo Terika, the head chef at Big Bite, said that besides their tasty burger sandwiches, they offer different types of chicken rolls that vary in fillings and way of preparation. “We offer a distinctive shawarma serving”, Abo Terika mentioned. The Shawerma experience offered by Big Bite is unique since it is neither Egyptian nor Syrian, yet cooked in a way that can be argued to be the mid-way between both. Throughout the year and half of operation at El Akeela street, Big Bite managed to maintain a high-quality reputation among visitors because of the use of fresh meat that is also known as “Baladi meat”, according to Abo Terika. Abo Terika added that not only do they own the Big Bite truck in El Akeela Street but also they have other trucks that offer different types of food. “We own Tantoni, Konafa, and Hawawshi trucks, as well”.
